Q1. How to choose an advisor?
Please first ask the teachers in the group you were admitted to whether they could be your advisor.
If there is no one suitable, then ask other teachers across the group, and confirm with the teacher if there are enough places to recruit new students. At the end, acquire the confirmation from the teacher to act as your advisor.
Q2. Is it open for students from other departments and institutes to take courses?
According to the regulation of course selection, there is no restriction on the qualification of the application.
However, to ensure the quality of students and teachers, please ask the teacher by email before taking the course.
Q3. Is it accessible for other institute students to audit the courses?

Q4. Is there any scholarship for the first admitted student?
No. Please inquire about the scholarship regulations announced by public and private units, and then apply in accordance with relevant regulations.
Q5. What should I prepare for Master/Ph.D. degree exams?

Q8. Do I need to sign formal documents with my teacher?
Please download “Postgraduate Thesis Adviser Agreement”(研究所論文指導同意書) and “Consent Form for Thesis Instruction”(指導教授同意書) on “Study Guideline for Postgraduate” and submit to the office within two weeks at the beginning of semester.
Q9. How can medical students on Yangming campus successfully complete the course with 24 credits in seven years, complete the Institute progress report, and get master and doctoral degree at the same time?

Q10. How to apply for the student fund?
Please go to NYCU → Office of Student Affairs → Office of Student Assistance to look up relevant regulations.
Q11. Can graduate students change their teachers?
Graduate students can change their teachers by themselves without teachers’ consent. The premise is to obtain the willingness of other full-time teachers in the Institute.
